Post Interview Thank You Letter Examples To Help in Your Job Search

Why Sending a Post Interview Thank You Letter Makes Good Sense

Some people believe that if an employer chooses another candidate for the job, there is no need to contact him or her again.

This is a mistake.

The chosen employee may not work out, or she may find that she hates the job and quits.

You never know, so it's prudent to leave the door open to future opportunities with the company, should they arise.

Sending a post-interview thank you letter when you have chosen to decline a job offer is also a good idea.

The key here is to treat the employer with respect, and to express your sincere gratitude at having been chosen for the position.

Below you'll find examples of both kinds of post interview thank you letters.

Although we both agreed that my qualifications do not meet your needs at this time, I wanted you to know that I am greatly impressed with the quality of work being done at MK Media Design.

Therefore, I do hope that you will keep me in mind for future openings with your company, that are more in line with my experience and qualifications.

Again, I thank you for your time and honest consideration. I hope that we have the opportunity to meet again.

Respectfully,
